Day 3: Interlaken & Grindelwald

Day 4: Jungfraujoch Day Trip

We have an undoubted highlight of your Swiss seven day itinerary planned for you today as you prepare to ascend to the very apex of alpine wonder with a day trip to Jungfraujoch, aptly dubbed the “Top of Europe.” 

This expedition promises an encounter with some of the most breathtaking vistas on the continent and an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Ascent to Jungfraujoch

After arriving at the Jungfraujoch region, you will begin climbing through the Eiger and Mönch mountains via the cogwheel train.

Arriving at Jungfraujoch, you are greeted by a world of ice and snow, standing at an elevation of 3,454 meters above sea level. Here, amidst the thin alpine air, you’ll find stunning views of the Aletsch Glacier, Europe’s longest glacier, stretching out in a frozen river of ice.

Within approximately an hour after leaving your hotel in Interlaken, you’ll find yourself stepping into the cobblestoned streets of Bern’s Old Town. This UNESCO World Heritage site captivates with its medieval architecture and timeless charm.

I spent an amazing time on the Private Day Tour from Zurich with Marc who was showing Switzerland with such passion that make you really love this country! Apart from showing Swiss Villages and Farmhouses, Marc showed some hidden hiking ways that lead you to amazing lakes that during winter are covered with snow and that made me so mesmerized! Marc was well prepared for our tour, he really knows a lot about his home and it was a pleasure to spend my time with him.
